Very Rare White Dandelion LIVE PLANT 4" Pot! Taraxacum albidum - One of a Kind!!
A true botanical curiosity, you'll certainly cause pandemonium with this rarely seen, hardly-ever-heard of White Dandelion! See last photos for an example of how healthy and pretty these plants are!! Limited numbers on this gem. One certainly won’t mind these unique, white flowered dandelions coming up all over the yard!! Looks more like a Chrysanthemum with very toothy rosettes of deep green leaves. Really gnarly plant, in the best way possible. Be the envy of everyone with something unique, and something rare that's hardly ever seen. You'll hear lots of "I never knew they came in pink and white!!!" Believe me, I hear it too!
White Dandelion is a lovely white, with faint flecks of green; when the blooms age they get take on a pale lilac hue, and then (just like the yellow ones) send out their parachutes to grow and spread. Attractive for butterflies and other pollinators.
Suitable for natural landscaping. Use for low maintenance plantings. Will grow and clump and can be divided to make into more plants. Seems to not only tolerate highly alkaline soils, but also thrives.
Suitable for pot and planter. Easy to grow. Would make interesting wine, use the leaves in salads; all parts of the plant are medicinal. Plants have deep root systems that are great for breaking up compacted soil. The roots also are useful in edible and medicinal applications.
Dandelions are hardy to zones 3 and above, and VERY easy to grow in most climates. (I mean, come on, it's a dandelion! lol)
Grows in poor soils but also grows best in good soil based compost.
Sun to partial shade
Natural flowering period is May – October
