Masja Pink Mophead Hydrangea
Hydrangea macrophylla 'masja'
vivid pink to red hydrangea is a hardy, easy to grow and compact plant great for small gardens and containers; loads of ball shaped blooms against dark green glossy foliage; flowers may be purple in more acidic soil; blooms on old wood. Masja Hydrangea features bold balls of hot pink to red flowers at the ends of the branches from early summer to early fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has forest green deciduous foliage. The glossy pointy leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color.
A multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plants with finer foliage. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. a charming companion to evergreen shrubs in foundation plantings or mass planted under tall trees or woodland areas, also great for use in large containers
