OTHONNA CAPENSIS Ruby Necklace
you will get 4 cuttings 3"- 4" long each
cutting means no roots
similar to pics 2 and 3
may or may not be end piece
color will depend on sun exposure and time of year
cutting means your order ships no root no dirt no pot, you have to root it yourself, instructions at bottom of this listing
This trailing succulent has brilliant purple to rich, ruby red stems with lush green leaves. Under healthy sun stress, the leaves take on the purple and red coloration of the stems. Ruby Necklace blooms often and the bright yellow flowers are a bright contrast to the jewel-toned foliage. It is easy to root and grows quickly.
LIGHT: Bright, indirect light, early morning sun will give a healthy amount of sun stress to keep those brilliant colors.
WATER: Allow soil to dry out between watering to avoid root rot.
SOIL: Use a well-draining soil mix. Heavy, wet soil will lead to root rot.
PLANTING: Plant in hanging baskets, rockeries and wall gardens, or where it can hang or form ground cover.
FERTILIZER: Use a general fertilizer once or twice a year to enhance new growth and the plant’s overall health. Over fertilizing causes malformed growth.
BLOOMING: Blooms from May to June and in spring. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers spring from the ends of upward growing, vibrant red-violet stems.
DORMANCY: Ruby Necklace does not go into full dormancy and continues to grow at a slower pace throughout winter months. It is frost tolerant.
PROPAGATION: Othonna propagates via clippings. Allow the cut end to callous over and insert into dirt during warm months.
I hate having to include this information in my listing but it is not always obvious to everyone so here goes............ If you are going to buy during cold weather where you live below 40 degrees, you have two options next day delivery $35 with a $4 heat pad or ask for priority shipping which is $13 additional with signature required which is an additional $3 and buy a 72hour heat pack $4 to ship with order and open package right away ........ Your box will be lined with foam or bubble to keep heating pad and your plant insulated from outside temp...if you are below 0 or in negative dergrees do not buy at all as heating pad will not work for negative degrees.....or just wait till spring when your temps are above 40 degrees.....****if you buy and do not chose one of the accelerated forms of shipment i will still ship it for you first class mail but you are acknowledging that you understand that I will NOT refund or replace if your live plant is frozen or damaged because of temp.
