Fully Monstrose Peruvian Apple Cactus ✿ Top Cutting ✿ CHOOSE HOW TALL!!
Your cutting will be severed fresh when you order - just tell us how tall you want it to be! It will be from the top part of the cactus, and please note that there are spines.
The cut end of the column should be allowed to callous such that it's dry, and then it can be planted.
It will be shipped bare and unrooted, and without a pot. The width of the shipped cuttings vary and will be random. No warranty is provided beyond delivery of the healthy plant.
These columnar cactus cuttings need to callous on the cut end, and then they should be planted, but not watered (or watered very sparingly). They can be given more water once they root, but it will probably not be necessary. If you live in a very hot climate, these cuttings should not be given full sun until they have rooted and are established.
Note that "Peruvian Apple Cactus" is an umbrella term for several closely related (and nearly identical) species. At this time, I am unable to narrow down the type of cactus any further, but note that this is not the standard variety or the semi-monstrose variety (both of which tend to grow faster, and have fewer and less pronounced deformations).
For anyone doing any xeriscaping, this is a very interesting type of cactus to add to your arsenal.
