Mimosa quadrivalvis HARDY SENSITIVE PLANT SEEDS FJ

Here are seeds of a rarely offered plant, the Hardy Sensitive Plant. This plant is actually native to the Midwestern US, and is very cold hardy, to USDA zone 3 or 4! This plant is very similar to the tropical version of sensitive plant that I also offer seeds of. The flowers are pink powderpuffs, and the leaves are very finely divided and fern-like. Also, like the typical sensitive plant, the leaves of Schrankia nuttallii fold up when they are touched and also at night. The plants can grow to 2 – 4’ tall, and they prefer full sun and a slightly drier than normal site, as they are native to the dry Midwest.
