Wild Kidney Bean 5 Seeds Phaseolus Polystachios For Planting
Sought-after and edible, Phaseolus polystachios is the wild relative of the cultivated varieties of lima beans. Wild Kidney Bean has smaller fruits, but can be dried, stored, and cooked the same as the cultivated varieties. This somewhat delicate perennial vine will climb if given support. When the seed pods are ripe, they will twist and expel the seeds. Phaseolus polystachios is also known as Thicket Bean and does prefer open thickets and woodland edges that have good drainage and are not heavily shaded.
