For supportive treatment of Corneal and mucous membrane damage in dry eyes
The active ingredient heals injured skin and mucous membranes. It is structurally related to pantothenic acid, a vitamin that is involved in important metabolic processes in the body. Damaged skin or mucous membranes lack pantothenic acid. The medicine with the active ingredient, which is converted into pantothenic acid in the body, compensates for the missing vitamin and the wound can heal more quickly.
Composition of 0.6 ml solution
30 mg dexpanthenol + Disodium edetate-2-water + Hypromellose + Disodium hydrogen phosphate-12-water + Sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2-water + Water for injections
How is it used?
Put a drop of the medicine in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Tilt your head back to use it. After putting in the drops, slowly close your eye and press gently with your finger on the tear duct between the nose and inner eyelid. If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before using the medicine and reinsert them about 15 minutes after putting in the drops.
Duration of use
In principle, there is no time limit on the duration of use and the treatment should continue until the symptoms improve.
Overdose
There are no known symptoms of overdose. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
The general rule is: pay careful attention to the dosage, especially with babies, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
DOSAGE
GENERAL DOSAGE RECOMMENDATION:
All ages: 1 drop 3-5 times daily or more often. Spread throughout the day and before going to bed.
NOTE:
- If several eye drops/eye ointments are used, an interval between applications is required.
- During treatment with eye drops containing phosphates, patients with severe corneal damage developed clouding of the cornea due to calcium deposits in very rare cases.
