Two Brown Multicolor Windmill Scenes Japan China Coupe Bowls

Two Brown Transferware coupe bowls measuring 7-5/8" dia, 1-1/4" tall. This oak leaf and acorn border trim is on the castle scene and other brown japan patterns. Green on every other oak leaf set and yellow on every other pair of acorns.. This scene is of the riverside with lighthouse windmill, house, trees and boat, with green accent on the trees and blue in the water.

It's an early pattern (JAP82 by Japan China at Replacements Ltd) and the colors are bright on both bowls. One bowl is in excellent condition and the other has a small shallow chip on the bottom edge (shown in bottom picture) that doesn't show from the front at all, only mentioned for accuracy. Serve up some soup, salad, cereal or pasta in these bowls.
