These 5-string Electric Mandolins are hand built by Elifas Santana in his shop in Brazil, from exotic North Brazilian woods. He also custom builds his proprietary pickups in his shop.

Their playability, pickup power and overall tonality are amazing.
In Brazil they’re actually known as a “Guitarra Baiana” and were created in Brazil many years before famous American guitar manufacturers thought about designing their versions. Who knew?!?
Since my JBovier EMC models have long been sold out, I felt it important to share these great instruments with the worldwide Mando Community.
Currently I’m only helping Mr. Santana to spread the word about these wonderful instruments (because there’s an obvious language hiccup).
