Western Red Cedar, (Thuja plicata) - Potted seedlings - 24"-36" tall
Wide spread in the Pacific Northwest, but also grows as far North as Central New York, in the Midwest, to the higher elevations of Hawaii.
A large tree growing up to 200 feet tall and living over a thousand years old. Its timber is known for its tight straight grain and natural resistance to decay. Evergreen foliage is dark green. Makes a great wildlife tree, screen or wind break. Foliage is used in Christmas decor.
Prefers moist, acid, well drained soil. Survives temperatures as low as -30. Prefers sun, but will grow in shade! USDA zones 6 - 8.
For live plants, we can't send them to Alaska and Hawaii. If the order has already been placed, we will cancel it.
