Magic Lily ( Lycoris squamigera ) - 1 large bulb ~gemsandstems.info~
Available for purchase is a unique Lycoris Squamigera, Magic Lily. They are sometimes called Surprise Lily, Resurection Lily or Naked Ladies. These are an amazing perennial with daffodil-like strappy foliage that appears in early spring, and dies back. Then, out of nowhere, they bloom in early fall on high 20" to 24" single stalks with huge, multiple, pink, tubular flowers. They are magnificant and excellent as a cut flower, blooming longer in a vase than in your garden. Don't forget where you plant them, as you don't want to dig them up accidentally while dormant. The are slow to bloom, but once established, they are reliable bloomers and reproduce well, giving you years of interest and enjoyment in your sunny garden. They are definitely worth the wait! They grow well in zones 4 to 8 (Dave's Garden says different), are drought tolerant, and very little care is needed. The only time I water these beauties is when I divide and replant them. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!
