~Red Monkey Kola~
Species: Cola pachycarpa K.Schum.
Family: Malvaceae
Genus: Cola Nuts
The red colored monkey kola is a rare species of the cola family.
A wild growing Cola Nut found in lowland forests of some West African countries.
This species is little known outside of Africa and bears fairly large fruits, up to several inches long. Fruits have edible white pulp and very large seeds.
The pulp is often said to be the sweetest and tastiest of the Cola species. The fruits can be found for sale in some local markets in West Africa.
Not much information is available about cultivation, but the species is presumably similar to the more common Cola acuminata.

For live plants, we can't send them to Alaska and Hawaii. If the order has already been placed, we will cancel it.

Happy Gardening!
