Publisher: Giuseppe Pomba, bookseller, typographer and publisher born in Turin in 1795 and died in 1876, considered the first in Italy to move from the ancient typographical regime to a modern publishing enterprise. He began his activity in Turin in 1818, developing his activity among classical works, periodicals and wide-ranging encyclopedic works. In 1829 engraving in color for the first time and in the following years he was the precursor of the development of engraving in Italy.
