Colonel EDWIN E. "Buzz" ALDRIN, JR., graduated from West Point and received a Doctor of Science degree from M.I.T. After leaving the space program he served as a commander of the Air Force Test Pilots School. Since his retirement he has been serving as a director or consultant to companies involved in aerospace, computers, cable television, insurance, laser television, and as a director-at-large for the National Association for Mental Health. He lives with his wife, three teenagers and a large variety of animals near Los Angeles, California.
WAYNE WARGA writes about the lively arts for the Los Angeles Times and is editor of the Times Sunday Calendar section. He was formerly assistant entertainment editor for Life magazine, and as a reporter covered everything from civil war in the Dominican Republic to Martin Luther King's marches to seven space flights. He, his wife and young son live in Studio City, California.
