DESCRIPTION Ambahaldi (Curcuma Amada) is often referred to as white turmeric, mango ginger, or kachhi haldi (raw turmeric). The root of the Curcuma zedoaria plant, often known as white turmeric, is what is used in its preparation. The root of the plant curcuma longa, also known as yellow turmeric or Haldi, is abundant throughout the Indian subcontinent. Due to the high curcumin concentration, it is brownish yellow on the outside and orange inside. It is a staple spice in everyday Indian cuisine. Amba Haldi has a brighter colour and a more bitter flavour than yellow turmeric. The key distinction between the two is that the amba haldi doesn't leave as much of a stain as the yellow haldi. While amba haldi is cooling and pacifies pitta and kapha while aggravating vata, haldi is hot in nature and aggravates both vata and kapha. Asian cuisine still uses white turmeric even though it is rarely used as a spice these days and is frequently substituted by ginger. It can be used in dishes like sauce, sweets, pickles, and preserves. External use: For instance, make a smooth paste using 2 tablespoons, Multani Mati (clay), rosewater, or milk. Apply to the face and let sit for roughly 15-20 minutes. Completely rinse with warm water. To form a paste, it can also be combined with water.
