Black Straw Vintage Womens hat 1940s 1930s Union made ladies hat
You can see this woman's hat being worn in the 1930s or early 1940s when hats became smaller to conserve materials. It sits back on the head has a slight upturn to the front of the brim with flowers under the brim. The low rounded crown has a round elastic string which helps keep the hat on the head. A small velvet ribbon encircles the bottom of the crown. Paper and silk flowers adorn the underside of the brim. These are a little yellow with age. Sweet little hat!!

Brim 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches in front
Crown 1 3/4 inches.
Circumference 21 1/2 inches
