RAPHAEL TUCK Victorian NEW YEAR'S Card - girl in bushes - Eden Hooper verse
Description: Victorian Greeting Card - RAPHAEL TUCK & SONS - "Hopefully, prayerfully greet the New Year..."
Here's a very pretty vintage New Year's card featuring a small girl seated in the grass beneath what appears to be a blackberry bush. I can't find any artist identification.
The back carries a long verse signed by Eden Hooper. The lower right corner features Raphael Tuck "PRIZE DESIGN" easel logo, but without any series number.
Size: approx. 6" x 4"
Date: Not dated
Lithographer: Raphael Tuck & Sons, London
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is generally only lightly soiled, although the back has some transparent patches of glue residue. The back also has a handwritten greeting to a Miss Downey from Crissy. The edges are sharp and the corners just barely bumped. (Please see scans.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
