BLUE CACTUS, BLUE CACTUS pilosocereus azureus, true seeds of this cactus with bluish stems.
It is a phanerogamous species belonging to the Cactaceae family, endemic to Brazil but given its beauty it is cultivated all over the world. It is capable of growing as a tree and reaches a size of 2 to 10 meters in height if it is given soil to grow, its stems grow upright, are smooth, grey-green to blue-green-glaucous in color with diameters from 5.5 to 11 centimeters. Its habitat in Brazil is relegated to areas with heights between 500-1500 meters, preferring sandy-rocky areas in full sun and not requiring much water for its survival.
It is recommended to bury the seeds minimally (less than half a cm deep) or not to bury them at all. Water by immersing the pot-seedbed in a plate with water until the water reaches the surface of the seedbed by absorbing it by capillarity from the substrate. When the plants have several pairs of leaves, they should be planted in individual pots and gradually reduce the watering to avoid fungal attack. In addition, the plants will have to be exposed more and more to the sun until they are always in direct sunlight.
