This item is a rare vintage and UNREAD copy of a LE SALON / THIRD WORLD STUDIO publication titled FORCE 1, featuring photographic pictorials of beautiful black and brown young male models by photographer ALAN BOONE. This magazine was produced in 1980 and is still in UNREAD condition. This item is DEAD STOCK and the original distributor never sold it; it has been in storage for over 40 years.

Force 1 is dedicated to bringing to the world the artistic representation of natures highest created form---the human figure, particularly the black male human figure. And to this end we are excited to present the work of photographic artist, Alan Boone.

Third World Studio, was owned and operated by Chicagoan Jim Jager from 1976 until his murder in 1981. As early as 1958, Jim recorded notes about the men he photographed in an inventory chart, including where they met (“Greyhound,” ”Bughouse,” “Star + Garter”), their circumstances (“shoeshine boy,” “exterminator,” “boxer from S.C. penitentiary”) and personal characteristics (“making muscles,” “endless talker,” “kleptomaniac from North Clark”). Models were paid for their work, with many returning for additional sessions. Third World Studio sold sets of photos by mail order and published several monographs (one-time publications), including Black Sugar, Black Knights and Horns of Plenty.
