This reputation was well deserved. The firm started in the forties producing lamps for the highest end of the income spectrum. This table torchiere is one of the rarest of designs! It was simply extremely rare to see a table torchiere by any maker during the mid century period! Laurel uses the golden mean for proportions and with nature's own mathematical formula incorporated into the designs this lamp is extremely attractive and the eye adores it! Good condition. Some very light scratches and tarnish to the metals. General age wear to the enameled shade. Works perfectly. This lamp would be a perfect addition to a NY penthouse, UK summer home, or Hollywood Hills mansion!
