This is one of the earliest pieces on record depicting this French national monument from the pointillist style, post-impressionism and making it a very desirable and historic work of art. The pointillists believed pure color applied in the form of dots allowed the mind to blend them and create a more pure blend than any artist could depict. Here the people bustling through the city are all different colors and the mind's eye blends them to create a rainbow of hue. The trees and buildings are also dabs of pure color and the artist lets the viewer's mind merge them. Part of a private collection and never before offered. Uncleaned & unrestored.
