Black Ink Reverse Paintings Drawings Gold Foil Backings 1978 By Nancy Willits Framed

These 4 small reverse painted drawings or paintings were done in black ink and gold foil sheets were used for the background colors.

The darker gold colors around the drawings near the inside edges of the frames appear to be a wash or glaze that has been spread or painted onto the glass.

The subjects of the small reverse paintings include two flowers in front of a wire fence, a little girl on a tree swing, a Teddy Bear lying on it's back inside of a crib and a country scene of a bridge with 3 building or homes in the background.

They are each 3.5 inches by 5 inches in size, which includes their frames.
The frames were made to look like leather and have gold scrolled trim around them.
They have built in easels on the back for standing the small pictures on a desk or shelf.

Each picture is signed Nancy Willits and dated '78.
