This is a rare and vintage SURREE LTD / ADAM ILLUSTRATED publication titled WRESTLE HIM DOWN (AIN005) was written by THUMPER JOHNSON. All pictures are suitable for framing. This book was produced using heavy stock paper. It is oversized at 8-1/2” x 11".
“A brilliantly lit wrestling ring. Two brawny men facing each other, half-naked, tensed muscles knotted, then falling on each other. Fingers clutching sweat-glazed skin . .. torsos tightly clenched . . . arms and legs entwined...masculinity pitted against masculinity...rugged...sexual!
In the name of "sport", two highly-tuned males test themselves physically against each other, and the victory may well be a sexual triumph!
Recently, Surree Limited has offered you all-male books on sports and occupations generally considered the ultimate in "masculinity"-only to
be amused when other areas of the media suddenly discovered that homosexuals play football, tennis, baseball, hockey ... and wrestle.
When we offered "Pin That Sucker!" we gave you the inside story of a self-confessed "queer" who has made a career in both amateur and professional wrestling. It was an honest, straight-forward book in the Surrey House tradition. Now, we're equally proud to present this series of short stories on wrestling titled "Wrestle Him Down!" Knowing the author, we have no reason to believe that these "stories" are not basically factual."
