The 2006 AHS Convention plant. Hosta 'Designer Genes' features purple-red stems and scapes. A seedling of 'Miss Suzie'. Individual leaves measure 7.5" long by 5" wide. Gold color fades to chartreuse by mid summer. Fast grower. (Wrede 2005)
