SWAMP ASTER. This is an long lived attractive American Native Wildflower. The plant height is variable from 3-5' and they get 2'-3' wide. They can be found along roadsides, edges of woods, marshes, lake shores and riversides. This is a tough as nails plant that will grow in regular garden soils without any problem, but prefer alkaline conditions. Also can be used in a bog or water garden as they tolerate flooding at the roots. Large flat-topped clusters of 2"-3" light purple-blue flowers in late summer through fall. Very attractive to late summer/fall butterflies and Bee's.100+ seeds per order.
