Early one spring morning a little girl disappears on her way to school in a small Cape Cod town. The book follows a young State Trooper as he investigates the case, which only gets more hairy as the decorated corpse of one of the suspects shows up. The book is most well-known for how well it chronicles police procedures during the 50's and 60's for the MA state troops. Currently out of print.
