Our Goat Milk Lotion is excellent for dry skin and/ or winter temps which wick moisture away from your skin. This isn't a cheap lotion, this is very thick and creamy. Our lavender lotion starts out as a base and we add our own oil's extract's & other concoctions. In our Mixture we add Calendula Extract, Lavender extract & lavender essential oil. Hands down this has been our best seller at/ on other markets.
Our Lavender Goat Milk Lotion is mellow, fragrant & relaxing from the moment you put it on. Our Lotion is very moisturizing while remaining non-greasy throughout it's application. We strive to provide quality but also seek to provide benefit's to our customer's through our product's, thus so, we include various oil's such as Shea Butter or Calendula Oil & other's in our Lotions so that you not only have a luxurious Lotion but a layer of added health benefits that directly affect's your skin & your overall you.
Within our Lavender Goat Milk Lotion lie's our special ingredient, Coconut Infused Lavender Oil. We use many diffrent Herbal Infusions as a base or as an addition for our product's. Our Herbal Infused Oil's start with a pound of whichever herb i would be using (in this case Lavender) and we soak it in Coconut Oil for 6-10 week's (depending on the herb). By soaking in oil & avoiding a cooking process we are able to keep all of thee many notable benefits & uses, on & for the health our skin. Essential Oil's are great as well but we try to avoid them for two reason's (when applicable):
Essential Oil's use a Ton (in some case's literally) of plant matter in order to be made. Here at In the Rough we dont have hundred's of acres to produce all the crop's needed to make the amount of Oil's that we would need. But more importantly we dont want to use that much plant matter when a pound of raw flowers or leaves will give the same effect or sometimes better.
When essential Oil's are made it is most often through Steam distillation. Steam Distillation requires the mixing of plant material with water then being boiled and having the steam converted back to a solid. By doing this you create essential Oils (that float to the top) & Hydrosol's (that remain's below the oil layer). Generally speaking when water reaches it's boiling point ( 212 deg. farenheit) it burns off a good amount of the purported health benefit's including the vitamin's and nutrient's.
