All discs have a water proof and damage protection coating . You spill your pop on the disc , no problem just wash it off . Disc print surface is damage resistant from wear n tear. Finger prints and smudges no problem , just wash em off .

All PlayStation 1 free discs are tested using a Either a Hard Mod PS1 using a MM3 Chip or a Freemcboot Slim PS2 using PSX Launcher and Freemcboot
In order to play PSX games on a PS2 that is using Freemcboot and not a chip you will need to set up your PS2 Slim and modify the door switch to stay open .Below are links to videos showing how to set up and do the door mod . It takes about 30 minutes . copy the links in to the address bar

If your PS2 is slim model, and has a model number that is SCPH-7xxxx or lower, it is compatible.
If your PS2 is slim model, and has model number of SCPH-9XXXX with date code 8a or 8b, it is compatible. If it is 8c, it may or may not work (depends if built in 3rd quarter of 2008).
If you have a different date code, you cannot run FMCB as Sony fixed the exploit.
