Description: Charming vintage children's book about a young turtle who learned that you should be careful what you wish for. From the dust jacket:
"Once there was a little turtle who lived in the woods at the edge of a pond. He had a heavy shell which weighed him down so that he got around very slowly. He was SO slow that he was called Dumpy.
Dumpy became envious of his fast-moving friends. One day when he was wishing extra hard that he could be like them, he wished his shell right off. Feeling light as a feather without it, he entered a strange new world of hustle and bustle and adventure."

Condition: Very good, I'd say. Although the dust jacket has multiple tears and the lower right corner has been torn off (first photo), the book itself is in excellent condition, with just a small nipped corner on one page. Please see the photos to get an overall sense of the book's condition.
