Rilli quilts are generally made in the south of Pakistan, Blanket making is an old custom in the area that may be going back to the fourth thousand years BC deciding by comparative examples found on antiquated ceramics.
The most prominent Rilli quilts works are patchwork and applique work as they are needlework techniques to turn intricate cut pieces of fabric and plan clothes into colorful Pakistani traditional dresses. Hand-made dresses with Ralli work on it are skills that haven’t learned by the tribal women but inherited by their older generations and these skills are passed from generation to generation for centuries. Ralli’s abstract patterns are already imprinted in women's minds and each woman uses thread to create unique ambiguous patterns and different patterns including the use of different colors are the distinctiveness of regions they belong from.
The three essential styles of rallis quilts are: 1) interwoven produced using bits of material attacked squares and triangles and afterward sewed together, 2) applique produced using complex cut out examples in an assortment of shapes, and 3) weaved quilts where the weaving join structure designs on strong hued texture.
HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A 1 RILLI quilts
As I told you before this is a very complex work as a piece of different cloth is stitched together by hand and the designs are made by using a different color cloth and stitching it with good finishing. The quilt is hand-pieced and hand-quilted at 8 to 10 tiny stitches per inch. usually, it takes 1 month to make 1 rilli quilt. the ralli quilts is a very complex work and when it is completed this stitching of cloth has a soul in it and you can feel it by touching it,
