Boot Polish Woolies

Drop the old toothbrush and back away slowly from that boot. . . Here's a quicker way to polish your show boots or dress shoes. (Oil finish is different, see tack cleaning advice www.wildwoolywasher.com). Using the hand-sized Wooly Washer--this one is okay to get wet, just damp in this case--carefully wipe away any dirt or sweat from your hard-finish boots When they are completely clean, (really clean), take the Wooly Wool Ball and lightly apply a very thin coat of shoe polish--daubing or very slightly rubbing is okay. Don't use too much, and keep all the polish on the other side from your hand, and no polish on the inside of the calf if you have high boots. When done with one boot, grab the other and do the same thing. Now take the first "rested" boot back, add a few (very few, not wet, just cold) drops of cold (ice is best) water to an area and begin to buff over it with the very soft wool cloth. When you get the shine you want--this will happen quickly--move on to the next area. As a finishing touch apply a thin coat of sole dressing the the outsides of the soles and heels. (You shouldn't do the bottom of the soles unless you are getting married--kneeling in front of the crowd and all.) There you have it--fit for the ring.
