AUTHOR'S FOREWORD
" Laymen have many questions that they would like to ask about the Faith, and about the Church. I know this from forty years' association with them.
I know also that they have a reluctance about going to the clergy for answers or trying to dig what they want to know out of books. Why is this? "
" With these facts in mind: (1) that available resources are often verbose, tangential, and boring, (2) that they are frequently couched in obscure terminology, and (3) that there is no disgrace in possessing all knowledge, I have tried in this book to provide articles and definitions that will be brief but adequate and will be in the layman's own language. "
" Raymond Gram Swing said, "Never underestimate your reader's intelligence, but never overestimate his information." I have made every effort to follow this double injunction. "
This book is in good condition with moderate wear to the cover.
