Where is God when nothing goes

We live in a world with frayed edges, where order and disorder are constantly intertwine. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, faminns and other natural disasters take their millions, injure and sometimes multitudes scratch entire regions of the globe in a few moments. And this without counting the many accidents of aircraft, train, cars, ships inflict terrible tribute to the man. Yet the Bible says that God is sovereign and unique control over everything that happens in the universe. In his own words, he "works all things after the counsel of His will." The Bible even says that "The Lord is merciful and compassionate" and that overflows with love. Is it possible to reconcile such opposite things at first sight? The answer might surprise you ...
