The Memorial Hall Murder (A Homer Kelly Mystery)
by Jane Langton
Penguin Books, 1981
Mass Market Paperback, 266 pages
10th printing
Condition is Good, maybe Good Minus. The cover has a fair amount of wear from handling, bumped corners, price tag from a used bookstore on back. Spine is not creased. No writing, loose pages or dog-ears.
"When Harvard's Memorial Hall is bombed, the shattering of its huge rose windows resounds throughout the campus; but when a corpulent and headless corpse is found among the debris, and the big, beloved chorus leader, Hamilton Dow, cannot be located, more than the peace and quiet of an illustrious university is disturbed. Is the corpse that of the missing conductor? Why are the university president and his henchmen grinning? Has the hall, with its passages and catwalks, its cavernous basement and honeycomb of rooms, been used to hatch a murder plot? The local police are working overtime to catch those responsible for the crime, but it takes Homer Kelly, visiting professor and retired policeman, to unravel the tangled plot and disclose a surprising finale."
