Romany Spartan US Ceramic Tile Company Horse Mustang Art Pottery Plate, Sgraffito Dish
Offering a beautiful art pottery plate by the United States Ceramic Tile Company having a sgraffito design of two wild horses rearing in the desert, with a cactus signifying the location of the mustangs. Design circa 1950s, when iconography of the American West was all the rage.
The center and the bottom are glazed in a turquoise blue/green, while the verge of the dish is a mottled beige color.
The bottom has a raised mark from the mold reading: United States Ceramic Tile Company, Romany Spartan.
Size: 6-1/2" diameter.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or scratches.
