Permatex® Rear Window Defogger Electrically Conductive Tab Adhesive Contact Repair Kit - An electrically conductive adhesive designed to re-glue the rear window heating jumper. Consists of two parts. The kit is designed for fast and high-quality bonding of the terminal to the rear window defogger.

Attention! This kit is for gluing the contact terminal. A different Permatex 09117 kit is required for thread restoration.

Repair of any contact areas of glass heating nets
MODE OF APPLICATION

For best results, during repair, the ambient temperature should be at least 10 ° C.
Turn off the glass heating. Carefully disconnect the connector from the grid.
Make sure the contact point of the connector is flat and in full contact with the mounting surface.
Check check continuity without glue.
Degrease the mating surfaces with alcohol. Note: Do not mount the jumper in the place where the heater jumper was located earlier.
It is required to clean the installation site on glass with thin sandpaper to a flat surface of a uniform color. All traces of old glue should be removed.
Open the napkin by pulling it from different sides of the protective bag (do not remove the napkin). Grasp the foil bag with two fingers by the foil and wipe the mounting surface on the glass and the cleat. The means by which the cloth is impregnated activates the surface.
Allow the activator to dry for at least 2 minutes. DO NOT TOUCH the mounting surface of the glass or tab after cleaning and activation.
Thoroughly mash the bag of glue until the glue takes on a uniform beige color. Cut the nose of the bag. Apply a thin layer of glue to the center of the mounting tab.
Immediately connect the tab to the rear window. Hold tight for 1 minute. It is allowed to turn on the heating after 24 hours.
If possible, check the continuity with a multimeter. There should be a 0 ohm resistance between two points.
Do not move the car for several hours. Allow the glue to glue your connector securely!
