This custom museum display showcases an Authentic Medieval Templar Cross Coin dating from circa 1100-1300AD. Very nicely preserved, it belonged to European Crusaders Medieval Spanish Kings. The crusade coin is in Billon material which is a mix of ancient alloy silver and copper.The Knights Templar or simply the Templars, were a Catholic military order recognized in 1139 by the papal bull Omne datum optimum. The order was founded in 1119 and was active until about 1312.The order, which was among the wealthiest and most powerful, became a favored charity throughout Christendom and grew rapidly in membership and power.
