The C-124 was operational during the Korean War and Vietnam War, and was also used to assist supply operations for Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. The C-124 was the primary heavy-lift transport for United States Air Force Military Air Transport Service during the 1950s and early 1960s; it was then replaced by the C-141 Starlifter.This handcrafted model is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
