The Willow Tree Sisters By Heart Figurine captures the bond between two women, whether that bond is through blood, friendship, shared experience or any other interpersonal connections. In the words of the sculptor, "I’m very close to my sisters, and the friendship and support of other women has always enriched my life. I also realize that there are friends or other relatives that may not be blood sisters, but share this same type of closeness."

Artist Susan Lordi hand carves the original of each Willow Tree sculpture. Using family and friends as models, Susan tries to capture a moment in time, or express a feeling. Pieces are cast from her original carvings, and then individually painted by hand. Softly washed colors, carved and metal accents, and representative icons of nature mark Susan's work.
