A.A. Milne Now We Are Six with the original dust jacket is for sale. The Winnie the Pooh book measures 5 x 7¾ inches (approximately), was published by Methuen in 1927, and has 103 numbered pages, top edges gilt. This Winnie the Pooh book comes with its wonderful and scarce dust jacket.

The dust jacket has great Winnie the Pooh illustrations to the front and back by the Winnie the Pooh illustrator, E.H. Shepard; as well as a synopsis of Now We Are Six to the front flap; and details of the When We Were Very Young and Winnie the Pooh books to the back flap. The dust jacket is in Good condition with age toning; small losses to the bottom of the spine and front bottom corner; and creasing to the bottom of the back panel; Despite the faults, that are minor, this is still a very attractive dust jacket and is very collectable.

The original red binding with gilt illustration to the front board and back board, and gilt lettering to the spine is highly attractive being in Very Good condition with only very light marks to the front board; and fading to the spine and slight discolouration to the back board. The faults are incredibly minor and the colours and feel of the binding is still incredibly attractive.

The pages, with top edges gilt, are highly attractive with numerous illustrations throughout the book from the decorated front and rear pink endpapers, and throughout the book with now iconic E.H. Shepard black and white line drawings of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, and other characters. The pages are in overall Very Good condition with an inscription to the Half Title Page, which is age toned; and cracks to the internal hinges that are cosmetic with the pages firmly bound-in.

This is a highly collectable vintage Winnie the Pooh book with the rare dust jacket.
