1894 LION COFFEE "Baby's First Easter" - Woolson Spice - mother, baby, lilies
Description: Victorian Trade Card - LION COFFEE - Woolson Spice Co., Toledo, Ohio
Very pretty card entitled "BABY'S FIRST EASTER". The front features a woman in a reddish robe holding her small baby up to get a good look at a potted Easter lily.
The back offers drinkers of Lion Coffee a "FINE POCKET KNIFE, FREE" (perhaps so baby can snag one of the lily blossoms for herself). Also offered is a copy of "UNCLE TOM'S CABIN", by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The two offers expire Jan. 1st, 1895.
Size: approx. 6-7/8" x 5"
Date: 1894
Lithographer: Not identifiable
Condition: Fair to good, I'd say. The front of the card is only lightly soiled but the back ihas noticeable damage from prior scrapbook mounting. There are patches of surface paper loss, as well as brownish glue residue along all four edges. There are also small creases across three of the corners. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
