DiMitri Peak Lapel Black Double Breasted Tuxedo - Size 46R - Bonus Vest - LIKE NEW!
This is a DiMitri Peak Lapel Black Double Breasted Tuxedo - Size 46R - Red Satin Lining - includes Bonus Bill Blass Tuxedo Vest - EXCELLENT condition!
"Puttin' on the Ritz" tuxedo or dinner suit in classic black with satin silk peak lapel and trouser trim -- Beautiful condition! Jacket features double breasted front, single button closure, left / right chest pockets, slit side pockets, full red sateen lining.
There is no label stating the material, so, I am guessing it is a polyester-blend. It is lightweight and wrinkle-resistant. It is a jet black, just as a tuxedo should be, hard to capture that in the pictures.
Approximate measurements:
Jacket - Flat measures...23" armpit to armpit across chest - 46" around; Shoulder to Cuff - 25" Shoulder to hem - 31"
Pants - 42" Waist; 30" Inseam
Here's some information on what makes this Tuxedo the right choice!
Peak lapels are slightly wider than notch lapels, with edges that “peak” upward toward your face. Originally seen in highly formal, highly traditional garments like tailcoats, the peak lapel has since made its way into tuxedo and suit jackets alike. It’s generally viewed as more formal than the notch lapel, and, because it’s less common, more of a statement. But don’t shy away—because they point upward, peak lapels have the effect of making you look taller and slimmer. Win, win.
Double-breasted jackets have overlapping front flaps and two sets of buttons. Traditionally associated with everything from ’30s gangsters to ’80s Wall Street brokers, today’s double-breasted suits are a slimmer cut (which makes them much more flattering), and perfect for the guy who wants a bold look. While viewed as more formal than its single-breasted brother.
Single-button jackets are the most formal in modern menswear, and not coincidentally, most single-button jackets are tuxedos or dinner jackets.
