During production, the mirabilite is washed out, leaving the remaining blend (70% Cellulose & 30% cotton) extremely porous, which makes the sponge cloth extra absorbent. To kill bacteria, microwave the damp sponge cloth daily for about 30 seconds to keep it sterilized.
