This organic soap has brown sugar added to it. Brown sugar has many benefits for your skin. It is antibacterial, Glycolic acid is naturally derived from sugar cane, the sugar manually exfoliates the skin while you are rubbing, the natural glycolic chemical in the sugar adds to the exfoliation. Sugar is also a hemectant, it draws moisture to the skin, as you are scrubbing, it opens up pores to drink in the beneficial treatment of the natural oils.
Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture out of the air to benefit skin health. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy skin. And, since I use no heavy animal oils or byproducts, my soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. Produced from the highest quality double distilled and deodorized clear coconut oil, forming luxurious lather and sparkling clarity.
