Science is not the art of memorizing facts and mathematics does not mean counting to ten. Science and math are much more than that; they are the processes of seeking new knowledge and understanding the world around us. The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) has developed the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics for kindergarten through high school.
