The story of how the Collier de chien designs came to life is an interesting one. It began in the early years of the 20th century when the luxury house of Hermès designed a dog collar for one of their clients. Its design had a central ring for the leash and pyramid studs. The custom-made piece led to many more orders by dog owners. A few years later, as per the request of couturière Marie Gerber, a belt of the collar was created. Gradually, the cuff bracelet was fashioned and created, appearing in a variety of versions for all women to wear. This version here is crafted from 18k Rose Gold, and it has the iconic detailing of studs and the central ring that moves freely. As an extra touch of luxury, there are 999 round brilliant cut diamonds decorated on the signature pyramid studs and on the ring, totalling to approximately 4.40 ct. Long hours of precise workmanship has gone into creating this wonder that needless to say, it deserves to be in the wrists of an admirer of fine art like yourself.
