The Quicksilver Studio Lighting Wireless Release for the Canon 400D, 350D, XT, XTSI, Digital SLR cameras is a Radio Remote Control with a range of up to 100ft. The compact transmitter with telescopic antenna is powered by a small 23A 12V battery. The transmitter has 4 dip switches and can be adjusted up to 16 channel setting. There is a two color LED light on the unit to indicate focus mode and shutter release mode. The receiver features a jack which fits into the cameras remote control socket. It has 4 dip switches and 16 channel combinations to match the setting on the transmitter. The LED on the receiver is the same for the transmitter, with a green and red light flash corresponding to the transmitter.
