The beautifully clear and bright .67ct Moissanite stone is prong set on a 14K yellow gold ring and mounted in the swirling band. Moissanite, in its natural form, remains very rare. It has been discovered only in a few places, from upper mantle rock to meteorites. They will test as a diamond and therefore, special testing had to be developed to distinguish them from diamonds. A Diamond has a hardness of a 10 and the Moissanite has a hardness of 9.5. The difference cannot be detected otherwise, and visually the brilliance is higher in the Moissanite since it is more refractive. Only you will know the difference in a natural stone for a fraction of the price of a Diamond.
