I thoroughly enjoyed creating this pattern. I had the Special Olympics in mind and hope someone special gets one of these hats from the many crocheter's in the world.
My testers have said that just by switching one size down of the hook they were able to make an adolescent hat and going one size even smaller the hat fits a smaller child.
Testers have said this pattern was very easy to do so I would classify it as advanced beginner.
