Antique Gilbert Alarm Clock (ca 1840-60s)
Rare Alarm Clock by Gilbert Clock Company (Winstead, CT).
It dates mid-19th century
Measurements
Height: 5 1/2"
Width: 5 3/4" (2 1/2" wide at base)
Depth: 1 3/4" deep
Key wind, with seconds on inner face, it's signed "Gilbert" on face with "Made in Winstead, Conn. USA" - wood casing is marked #4373 underneath
Condition: There is patina on backside and keys can still wind. The wood case is in remarkable condition with only minor wear on the underside.
